OR Nurse (PRN) – Surgery
Description Functions as an RN to meet patient and family care needs. Works under normal supervision providing nursing care to patients at an advanced level of practice. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Minimum of 2 years OR Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license, current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.

Sterile Processing Tech (Full Time) – Surgery
Responsible for assisting in a smooth flow of events before, during and after the surgical procedure for all patients. Assists in overseeing the surgical instrumentation and supplies according to AORN recommended guidelines and universal precautions to decontamination and sterilization, surgical care case preparation and distribution. Practices in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and medical policies. High school graduate. One year surgery, medical office, or sanitary maintenance experience. CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required.
Medical Lab Tech or Medical Tech (PRN) – Lab
Perform testing primarily in accordance with established laboratory policy and procedure. Primary responsibilities include performing and evaluating analytical tests, assessing, interpreting and reporting results, maintaining accurate laboratory records and records of testing. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Medical Tech program. Current MLT or MT certification or registration, current MLT or MT Louisiana license, and phlebotomy skills required.
OR Technician (PRN and Full Time) - Surgery
Responsible for the safe transport of patients and the correct handling/transport of blood products,  specimens, X-rays, equipment and supplies, a clean surgical environment and other patient care related duties in the OR suite. Also responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, delivery and distribution of instruments and supplies within the surgical suites. Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technology institute. Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) and CPR certification required.

Housekeeper (Part Time) – Housekeeping
Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors & other assigned areas of the facility in a neat & sanitary manner. Work also includes distributing clean linens to user departments and maintaining stock levels on nursing floors. 1-2 years experience in hospital/medical clinic cleaning.

Staff RN (Part Time Day, Full Time Night & PRN) – Med Surg

Responsible for the care of patients, administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician. Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy. Responsible to participate in a professional manner in all aspects of patient care. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors).Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current CPR and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.

Radiology/OR/CT Technologist (Part Time) - Radiology Dept.
Performs OR/Pain C-Arm procedures.  Works under minimal supervision performing all radiology and CT procedures. Produces quality images in three imaging modalities in x-ray and CT. Performs CT procedures and related functions producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. Minimum 2 years CT experience. 3 years C-Arm experience required. Must possess a valid Louisiana radiology license, ARRT and current CPR, CRT & venipuncture certifications.

Credentialing/Life Safety Coordinator (Part Time) - Administration
Assists the Medical Staff office in all aspects of credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for providers who perform patient care at Southern Surgical Hospital. Responsible for ensuring providers are credentialed, appointed, and privileged. Maintains up-to-date data in credentialing databases and online systems; ensures timely renewal of licenses and certifications. Ccoordinates and administers various elements of Life Safety including scheduling meetings, and tracking spreadsheet data. High School diploma or equivalent required.  Associate degree preferred.  Two to five years of relevant credentialing experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Pre-Op Nurse (Full Time) –Pre-Op
Responsibility to formulate and execute the nursing care for patients of all ages in the Pre-Op area to ensure the patient receives the highest quality of care, and their safety is ensured according to policy and procedure. Performs thorough and accurate continual patient assessment, anticipating potential problems and reporting pertinent assessments to the anesthesiologist, supervisor, and/or surgeon appropriately. Prepares patients for surgery by providing pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing, and 1 year Current Louisiana RN License, BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
