Acts as the patient's advocate and works as a member of the surgical team is knowledgeable in the areas of aseptic technique, infection control, emergency procedures, and general operating room procedures. Functions as an RN to meet patient and family care needs. Works under normal supervision providing nursing care to patients at an advanced level of practice. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Minimum of 2 years OR Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license, current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.
Sterile Processing Tech (Full Time) – Surgery
Responsible for assisting in a smooth flow of events before, during and after the surgical procedure for all patients. Assists in overseeing the surgical instrumentation and supplies according to AORN recommended guidelines and universal precautions of decontamination and sterilization, surgical case preparation and distribution. Practices in accordance with all regulatory and medical policies. High school graduate. One year surgery, medical office, or sanitary maintenance experience. CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required.
OR Technician (Full Time & PRN) - Surgery
Responsible for the safe transport of patients and the correct handling/transport of blood products, specimens, X-rays, equipment and supplies, a clean surgical environment and other patient care related duties in the OR suite. Also responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, delivery and distribution of instruments and supplies within the surgical suites. Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technology institute. Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) and CPR certification required.
Orderly (Full Time) – Surgery
Responsible for providing direct and indirect care of the patient under the direction of nursing staff. Transports patients, beds, lab specimens, blood products, and other medical items to various areas of the hospital, assists in cleaning and disinfecting operating rooms, assists with ensuring rooms and carts are stocked with supplies. High School graduate or equivalent. One year prior experience preferred. Basic life support certification required.
Staff RN (Full Time w/ ICU experience, Part Time nights & PRN Nights) – Med Surg
Responsible for the care of patients, administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician. Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy. Responsible to participate in a professional manner in all aspects of patient care. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors). Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current CPR and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.
Patient Care Tech (PRN) – Med Surg
Responsible to perform a variety of uncomplicated tasks in care of patients in hospital, under direction of nursing and medical staff. Works under the general supervision of the Registered Nurses providing professional nursing care according to established procedures, protocols and regulations. Graduate from high school is preferred. 1 year experience in Med/Surg preferred. Current certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). BLS certification required.
Medical Lab Tech or Medical Tech (PRN) – Lab
Responsible for performing & evaluating analytical tests, assessing, interpreting & reporting results, maintaining accurate laboratory records & records of testing. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Medical Tech program. Current MLT or MT certification or registration, current MLT or MT Louisiana license, & phlebotomy skills required.
Phlebotomist (PRN) – LAB
Performs a variety of venipuncture techniques and collects blood specimens from patients in support of laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. High School graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy program. Six months experience as a phlebotomist. BLS certification required.
LPN Unit Secretary (Full Time) - Med Surg
Regulates the flow of information among patients, families, visitors and staff to facilitate routine unit activities. Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy by demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team as a communication link between the department and other departments. Assists in the nursing care of the patient as needed. Assists physicians with documentation as needed. Requires a Degree from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing and 2 years experience. Excellent computer skills, order entry and nursing documentation. Current Louisiana LPN license. Current certification in Basic Life Support required and ACLS preferred.
Radiology/OR Technologist (Full Time & PRN) - Radiology Dept.
Performs OR/Pain C-Arm procedures. Works under minimal supervision performing all radiology procedures. Produces quality images in three imaging modalities in x-ray. Performs radiology procedures and related functions producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. 3 years C-Arm experience required. Must possess a valid Louisiana radiology license, ARRT and current CPR.
Housekeeper – Housekeeping Dept. PRN
Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors & other assigned areas of the facility in a neat & sanitary manner. Work also includes distributing clean linens to user departments and maintaining stock levels on nursing floors. 1-2 years experience in hospital/medical clinic cleaning.
