Acts as the patient's advocate and works as a member of the surgical team is knowledgeable in the areas of aseptic technique, infection control, emergency procedures, and general operating room procedures. Functions as an RN to meet patient and family care needs. Works under normal supervision providing nursing care to patients at an advanced level of practice. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Minimum of 2 years OR Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license, current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.
Sterile Processing Tech (Full Time & PRN) – Surgery
Responsible for assisting in a smooth flow of events before, during and after the surgical procedure for all patients. Assists in overseeing the surgical instrumentation and supplies according to AORN recommended guidelines and universal precautions of decontamination and sterilization, surgical case preparation and distribution. Practices in accordance with all regulatory and medical policies. High school graduate. One year surgery, medical office, or sanitary maintenance experience. CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required.
OR Technician (Full Time) - Surgery
Responsible for the safe transport of patients and the correct handling/transport of blood products, specimens, X-rays, equipment and supplies, a clean surgical environment and other patient care related duties in the OR suite. Also responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, delivery and distribution of instruments and supplies within the surgical suites. Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technology institute. Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) and CPR certification required.
Staff RN (Full Time Days, Part Time nights & PRN Nights) – Med Surg
Responsible for the care of patients, administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician. Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy. Responsible to participate in a professional manner in all aspects of patient care. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors). Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current CPR and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.
Patient Care Tech (PRN) – Med Surg
Responsible to perform a variety of uncomplicated tasks in care of patients in hospital, under direction of nursing and medical staff. Works under the general supervision of the Registered Nurses providing professional nursing care according to established procedures, protocols and regulations. Graduate from high school is preferred. 1 year experience in Med/Surg preferred. Current certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). BLS certification required.
Medical Lab Tech or Medical Tech (PRN) – Lab
Responsible for performing & evaluating analytical tests, assessing, interpreting & reporting results, maintaining accurate laboratory records & records of testing. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Medical Tech program. Current MLT or MT certification or registration, current MLT or MT Louisiana license, & phlebotomy skills required.
Pre-Op RN Full Time- Pre-Op
Provides nursing care for patients of all ages in the Pre-Op area utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Performs thorough and accurate continual patient assessment, anticipating potential problems and reporting pertinent assessments to the anesthesiologist, supervisor, and/or surgeon appropriately. Prepares patients for surgery by providing pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Acts as discharge nurse when assigned, responsible for the patient's post-operative care and stabilization; preparation for return to the home environment, including post-discharge care. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors). Minimum of 1 year Pre-Op Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current CPR, ACLS and PALS certification required.
Assists in the delivery of respiratory care and procedures including assessment. Maintains a high level knowledge base to be an excellent resource to other staff therapists, nursing, and other personnel as necessary. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. One year prior experience required. Current licensure of Respiratory Therapist in the State of Louisiana. Current Basic Life Support, PALS and ACLS certification required.
Provides patient care through analyzing, evaluating and implementing nutritional assessment by providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, including nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention. Documents all aspects of patient’s nutritional status and maintains patient’s records that are organized and complete. Provides education and support to all surgery patients and their families with relevant nutritional education as appropriate to the patient’s disease state. Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition. Two years clinical experience required. Current Licensure of registered Dietitian in State of Louisiana, current Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) required American Dietetic Association – (ADA) membership preferred. BLS Certification required.
Housekeeper (PRN) – Housekeeping
Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors & other assigned areas of the facility in a neat & sanitary manner. Work also includes distributing clean linens to user departments and maintaining stock levels on nursing floors. 1-2 years of experience in hospital/medical clinic cleaning.
